Chapter 11: The Undying Party

Pond woke up to his phone alarm and was greeted by a message from Palm about their party being talked about on the biggest online gaming community. Curious, he checked the news and found a record of a live streaming of a famous streamer, which showed the championship fight of the PVP tournament that they had won many days ago. The video showed their party in action, full of supporter job classes like the Cheerful Bard, the Time Manipulator, and the legendary class "Beast Savior". Three of them were male players, but the main damage dealer and tanker was a female "Battlemage" played by the famous Russian female MMA fighter, Anastasia.

The news was presented in a very exciting and engaging way, with footage of their epic battle shown from multiple angles. The commentators were in awe of their skills and teamwork, and viewers flooded the comments section with praise and admiration. The video even went viral and appeared on TV broadcasts, making their party an overnight sensation in the gaming world.

Pond and Palm couldn't believe their eyes as they watched the video. They were amazed at how well their party had performed, and even more surprised by the attention they were receiving. They joked about how they should start signing autographs and charging for appearances, but they both knew that their focus had to remain on the game. They were thrilled that their hard work and dedication had paid off, and they were eager to continue their adventures in Xylo Chronicle.

The fight was intense, with both sides showing impressive tactics and skills. The announcer tried to convey the gravity of the situation with every move made by the opposing teams. The commentator had to catch his breath at times, as the fight was very evenly matched. Each team made it difficult for the other, and the tension in the arena was palpable.

As the fight progressed, the viewers saw the strength of their party's three great supporters, who managed to keep their HP high. They had all their buffs up and were always ready to help their allies. Even when the enemy attempted to bring them down, they managed to hold their own, thanks to their excellent teamwork.

The battle turned in their favor when Pond summoned Gusty. The Aelara's servant beast was an imposing sight and sent a wave of fear through their opponents. They all knew how powerful the legendary job class, the Beast Savior, could be. With the help of Gusty, their party was able to dominate the fight, and eventually emerge victorious.

The announcer couldn't contain his excitement and yelled into the microphone, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Undying Party! They are unbeatable and unstoppable! They have just won the championship fight of the PVP tournament, and they made it look easy!" The viewers' comments flooded the live chat, and many praised their party's excellent teamwork and strategy. They had become an overnight sensation, with many players aspiring to join their ranks.

As Pond made his way to his animal shelter, Eden, he noticed that some of the staff members were whispering and looking at him with curious expressions. One of them finally approached him and said, "Excuse me, are you the famous player we saw on TV? The one who won the PVP tournament?"

Pond chuckled and replied, "Yes, that was me and my party. We had a tough fight, but we managed to come out on top."

As he arrived home, he grabbed a glass of longan juice, his favorite drink, and sat down to log in to the game. However, before he even had a chance to enter the game, he received a flurry of messages from players all around the world, asking for pictures, autographs, and even interviews.

Anastasia, in particular, was starting to feel uncomfortable with all the attention. "I didn't expect this kind of fame," she admitted to Pond. "I just wanted to play the game and have fun."

Pond understood how she felt and decided to take action. He summoned Gusty and announced to everyone around them that they had urgent business to attend to. "Sorry, guys," he said with a smile. "We've got to go. Duty calls."

As they made their way out of the crowd, Pond couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. It was amazing how their party had gone from a group of friends playing a game to an international sensation in such a short amount of time.

Once they were away from the crowd, they found a small tavern and sat down to catch their breath. A lovely young waitress served them a cool, refreshing drink with a bright smile on her face. "This drink could help you guys," she said with a wink, and they all took a sip, instantly feeling much better.

But as they were enjoying their drinks, Palm suddenly noticed something strange about the young waitress. "Hey, guys," she whispered, motioning towards the waitress. "She's not an NPC. She's a player, just like us, but without a job class."

------------------

The party sat at the small tavern, feeling exhausted, when they were approached by a lovely young waitress who served them a cool, refreshing drink with a bright smile on her face. "This drink could help you guys," she said, and after taking just one sip, they felt a lot better. But Palm suddenly noticed something weird about the young waitress - she was not an NPC but a player like them, without a job class. The party asked her how she ended up like this, and she told them her story.

Her name was Pim, she was 20 years old, and she was from Bangkok, Thailand. Xiao Ming joked about whether all Thai names started with "P." Her parents died when she was 10, and she had been living alone ever since. When she logged in to Xylo Chronicle, she found that she had no job class but only a skill called "I Wanna Be." The system explained that with this skill, she could be any NPC that she wanted, with no limits on race or job. She said she loved to do jobs similar to her real-life occupation, which was selling homemade bakery items.

Palm tried to recheck the AI system, thinking that this was a bug in the system, but the AI system told him that everything was 100% normal, and there were no bugs in the system at all. Anastasia asked Pim why she was still playing the game and asked her to join their party, as the limited number of members in each party was five. Pond tried to send Pim a party request, but she was not included in the Party list and was instead showing up in the "Buddy" list of Pond, the same list as Gusty.

Palm tried to explain that the system may consider Pim an universal NPC that could fit into any category, and beast was one of them. Pond tried to check what was going on by casting his buff skill, and suddenly, Pim felt a powerful energy running through her body. She tried to jump, and she ended up standing on the second floor. Everyone clapped their hands and welcomed Pim into their undying party.

As Palm made his joke about the longan juice, the party laughed, teasing each other about their taste in beverages. Xiao Ming teased Palm that his jokes were never funny, and everyone joined in on the banter. Palm responded with a witty comeback, causing the party to erupt in laughter once again.

As they continued chatting, Pim asked about their journey and what was next for their party. Pond explained that they had a mission to save the world and that they needed all the help they could get. Anastasia joked that Pim might need to bring some of her homemade bakery items for their journey, and everyone laughed at the idea of bringing snacks to save the world.

Pond then remembered to check the system window to see how Pim's unique skill worked. He saw that she was listed as a "Level 1 Human Beast" with one passive skill called "I Want That Skill." The skill allowed her to copy any skill of unplayable NPCs to use as her own, with the limited number and grade of skills she could copy and keep as her own depending on her level.

As she still level 1, they let's Pim try her copy skill on a Poison slime, a low level monster out site of the town. Pim excitedly copied the skill of the Poison slime and suddenly a green glow surrounded her, indicating that she had successfully copied the skill. She then tried to use the skill and was able to launch a powerful poison attack on the slime. The party was amazed by Pim's natural ability to copy skills and were impressed by how quickly she was able to learn and use them.

Xiao Ming teased Pim that they needed to be careful when standing near her since they wouldn't know what skill she might copy next. Palm added that Pim was like a Swiss Army Knife, with a variety of skills at her disposal. The party laughed at the comparison, and Pim blushed, feeling embarrassed by the attention.

Anastasia then asked Pim about her bakery and what kind of items she sold. Pim excitedly told them about her homemade cakes and pastries, describing the flavors and ingredients she used. Pond suggested that they could visit her bakery in real life and try some of her treats, causing Pim to blush and giggle.

As they continued to chat and joke around, Pim felt like she had found a new group of friends in the game. The party also realized that they had gained a valuable new member who could help them in their quest to save the world. They made plans to continue their journey together and to face any challenges that came their way, knowing that they were stronger together than apart.

With Pim now a member of their party, they all logged off for the night, feeling satisfied and happy with the events of the day. They knew that their adventure was just beginning, and they looked forward to the next chapter in their journey.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
ASAH1 ASAH1

Here is an example of how Pim's "I Want That Skill" skill could be limited:

- Pim cannot use her skill to copy player skills, as those are unique to each player and cannot be replicated.

- Pim cannot use her skill to copy skills from NPCs that are 10 or more levels higher than her, as those skills would be too advanced for her to understand and replicate.

- The number of skills Pim can keep as her own is dependent on her level. For every 10 levels she gains, she can keep one additional skill. For example, at level 1, she can only keep one skill she has copied. At level 10, she can keep two, at level 20, she can keep three, and so on.

- Pim can only copy skills that are usable by her own job class. For example, if she is playing as a mage, she cannot copy skills that are exclusive to warriors or clerics.

- Pim cannot copy skills from unique or legendary NPCs, as those skills are considered too rare and powerful for her to replicate.

- Pim cannot copy skills that are tied to specific weapons or equipment, as those skills require specific items to be used.

- Pim can only copy skills that she has seen in action or been affected by, she cannot copy skills that she has only heard about or read about.
