Meilyr went down Upper Mursa's cobbled streets after the day's ceremony, lost in his thoughts.

A party had been organized at the Golden Tower for the new status magicii, but he had no mind to join them. In his previous life, the merry joys of a gathering were seldom enjoyed without family, and he had none he could call as such in this world, making it rather awkward for him.

Of course, he allowed Gal-Enshu to participate in his stead. For all his clumsiness, the young man proved surprisingly useful, so it was best to keep him happy and fulfilled. He seemed to be getting along well with Gessius and Phaedro, though the sparks of their deadly battle had yet to fade from Pellio's memories.
