Meilyr was appalled.

Did the girl have no sense of self-preservation? Why would anyone attempt to eat an artifact born from a Grade 1 Relic? And more importantly, how was she still alive?

"How... are you feeling now, Vivi?" 

The girl briefly paused, looking around with a now-apparent realization regarding her current situation. After a few seconds, she shrugged with a nonchalant "I'm hungry." 

Meilyr could only grimace beneath his mask. She's either a complete idiot or unfathomably smarter than me. That aside, she's very strong. Those blue flames almost seared my protection—in other words, they were hot enough to burn pure Mana. I'm sure I can use her well.

"How about a deal, Vivi?" he asked. "I'll help you find your sister, and in exchange, we'll fight side by side during the first phase. Not a bad idea, don't you think?"
