Chapter 168: Former Master

A new era of magic dawns upon humanity. 

That is what he would have said if he wasn't so tired. His bones felt like they were melting at the moment. 

"The enemy is approaching, draw your sword now," Nevermore warned.

At that moment, all the hairs on Arthur's body rose steadily in response to the suffocating aura in the air. His body twitched simultaneously as an ambient presence closed out all his senses. The next thing he saw was a calm fog that slowly grew till he was surrounded by a thick mist of white. All he saw was nothing…

Following his senses, he gripped tightly on his sword and narrowed his eyes to enhance his vision. He heard a short-lived slice and the next thing he felt was pain coming from his upper-right arm. He was bleeding already, a direct cut at the brachial artery. 

Another sound swooshed through the air before blood spluttered from his ankle. He hadn't even felt it touch his skin.
