Chapter 138: Demon's Awakening

Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes, searching deep within his mana core for the source of the slumbering power in him. On releasing it, he was met with an almost strangling amount of energy.

His body burned and the world around him blurred as he was enveloped in a near-palpable aura of different colors. He had told himself never to push himself this far, but if didn't, then death was the only option.

"Phase one," he said in a strained whisper. "Demon's awakening."

Undergoing Demon's awakening filled him with a rush of adrenaline as he unleashed the dormant power in his will and energy gate.

The space around him distorted and the ground below his feet began cracking from the mana and cursed energy that now surrounded him. Color was drained from his vision; he could only see the color coming from the numerous particles of mana in the atmosphere around him, each shimmering according to its corresponding element.
