Chapter 3: Chapter 3
The morning was pushed back under the horizon by night as the moon began to River over the town.
Gorou had just finished his burpees and was now onto the run, he had already done five, so he was now on his sixth.
The girl was entertained by his commitment to finishing, but she was also cheering him on in her head, she was actually happy that this old man was almost finishing.
Gorou could feel his clothes drenched in sweat, the whole street had been covered in his sweat, thanks to the wind blowing away the smell or the whole street would stink of rotten carrots.
Gorou felt the pain in his muscles, they threatened to snap with every moment, his bones rattles inside him, and his weight seemed to have tripled, making him try to keep himself from falling over.
As Gorou passed the girl, she couldn't help but look on in admiration.
'Here I thought he would leave at the start, but now look at him, almost finished. I'd he was younger or more handsome, I might have tried to take him for myself, but unfortunately, that won't happen fufu.'
Two hours later...
The girl waved goodbye to Gorou and gave him some words of encouragement, Gorou finished a little later after she left.
Once Gorou was done, he collapsed on the side of the road.
"Come on, Gorou, get up! You need to get home! Come on!" Gorou began to hype himself up as he crawled over to a nearby building for support.
Gorou felt his arm shake uncontrollably, his whole body felt like jelly as began to stand up. Gorlu laughed at the situation.
"Like a baby taking its first steps, haha."
As Gorou slid across the wall, with every step taking a minute to do, Gorou saw a skateboard.
Unfortunately, it was on the other side of the road and he didn't want to crawl over again. A brain fart happened and Gorou chuckled at the idea, thinking it was childish, but he wants to do it anyway.
Gorou crouched down, tracking his knees into his chest before he began to roll across the street.
Although the road did hurt a lot, Gorou persisted and grabbed the skateboard, putting it under his bum and riding to his house.
From an alleyway not far away, the girl saw the old man and could help but laugh at his childish actions.
"Hehe, what a funny old man." She said before disappearing into the alleyway.
Gorou arrived at his doorstep, and couldn't resist the pain in his body.
"Argh, ow! Fuck! Honey? Issei? Could you please open the door?" Gorou called out in desperation.
When the door opened up, Issei was standing in the doorway, expecting his dad to be standing there, but Instead, he saw his dad reeling in pain on his back.
"Oh shit! Are you okay dad?!" Issei picked up his dad, hoisting him onto his shoulder and carrying him inside.
Once inside, Miki saw the state her husband was in.
"Oh, my God! What happened?!" Miki ran over and checked Gorou's body for any injuries before Gorou stopped her.
"Don't worry my love, I'm in pain because of the workout I did." Gorou tried to smile but failed because even that hurt.
Miki fumed in anger before slapping Gorou with a tea towel.
"Ah, lying about when you would return, pfft." Miki turned away in 'anger' and marched to the kitchen.
Gorou just chuckled in his head, he knew she was playing around, and he was happy about that.
"Son, help me up the stairs," Gorou said as he tried to support his own legs.
Issei was left dumbfounded by his parents, he's never seen them like this and it wasn't a bad look, just slightly uncomfortable is all.
Issei help Gorou up the stairs and then Gorou said he was alright to go by himself. Issei walked away in disgust as his arms and chest were drenched in sweat.
"Yuck."
Gorou grabbed a few clothes, and a towel before going to shower.
As the hot water hit his skin, he could feel his body relax, his next challenge was to fight the urge to fall asleep.
After five minutes, Gorou's hands started to wrinkle.
"Time to get out."
Gorou hopped out of the shower, turning it off and putting in his new clothes. His muscles were still sore but were manageable.
As he left and walked into his empty room, Gorou then remembered something important, so he grabbed his phone and searched up, "After workout stretches." Gorou scrolled until he saw a video with the most views and proceeded to stretch, according to the video.
It only took a few minutes, but Gorou had never stretched his body, resulting in uncomfortable feelings as he stretched.
After the stretch, he felt more limber and flexible, it felt nice, though the pain was still lingering, but that's normal.
After finishing, Gorou headed downstairs and sat on the couch. Miki joined him and snuggled up to him.
They talked about many things before Miki walked upstairs to go to sleep, Gorou had trouble staying awake, his body was tired and relaxed, and he didn't want to move at all, he just wanted to sink into the couch and drift off to sleep, but he stood up, making his body ache for the couch.
Gorou made himself a coffee before watching some TV. After a while of shows and war against his sleep urges, he checked the time.
"10 pm. Issei should be asleep by now." Gorou put down his cup and walked up to Issei's room, opened his door to see his some crashed out.
Gorou walked over to Issei's hand and spoke to it like a person.
"Red Dragon Emperor, I know you're there, I seek your help."
