Gerald's eyes darted around in confusion as he found himself in his consciousness space. He stammered, "What happened?"

Doug rushed over to him, his face filled with concern, and exclaimed, "You've collapsed! Not just you, but all the magicians!"

Gerald was momentarily dazed before memories of the recent events flooded back. "A powerful cry echoed all around us. It was a cry so agonizing, so deeply etched into my soul that even now, I'm still confused. What was that?"

"I don't know..." Doug had no answers. Magic and the realm of magicians were beyond his knowledge.
