On the darker island, he saw a child who resembled him from years ago, walking in the middle, with adults passing by him. His left eye had a seemingly huge black patch, and his body was covered in horrendous scars.

The scene changed as the child sat amidst piles of trash, gazing at the dark, serene night sky. People walked past him again, with no intention of helping or inquiring about his injuries.

In this scenario, Gerald noticed that the child's gaze was so dark that his emotions swirled visibly. Emotions of hopelessness, anger, and a hint of vulnerability surrounded him, almost engulfing him.
