"Yes, it's the only way for me to become stronger and travel back and forth without taking a heavy toll on my spirituality," Conrad replied.

"Actually, this was my father's plan back then. Starting with my grandfather, they have been saving to buy the adjacent buildings. However, when the Evans learned of our intentions, they suddenly made a move and bought them instead."

Conrad sighed, "Since the Evans were more powerful and, of course, wealthier, we couldn't do anything. We could only watch as they slowly buy the units around and later, forcing us to surrender ours as well."

Philip pondered this for a moment. In fact, he might be the only person, besides the Evans, who knew that it was Steve's plan to build a mall in this location. But the question is among all places, why this place? Why this building?
