Chapter 104: The thirteenth on the Dark List, Cobra Modessa

With a blistering speed that defied comprehension, Alexander departed from Eclipsire Peaks and arrived at a secluded suburb outside Lake City. The isolation made it an ideal location for deep meditation and magical cultivation. 

Finding a perch on a mountaintop, he settled himself, commencing the vital process of assimilating the Magical Leyline's power he had absorbed.

He had siphoned two-thirds of the Magical Leyline, a maneuver perilous to the extreme. For the average warrior, mere seconds of such absorption would lead to corporeal disintegration. 

That Alexander himself felt discomfort spoke volumes about the colossal nature of the Leyline energy he had internalized.

In hindsight, Alexander owed some gratitude to the guardian spirit. Had it not damaged the Leyline, and had he absorbed the remaining third, his body would not have survived; it would have exploded into nonexistence.
