Chapter 68: Does the Sun Rise in the West?

David's heart leapt.

Could it be that Gustav had actually left some message for him? Some explanation of why he was leaving so suddenly?

With a hand trembling with excitement, but also with anxiety, he reached for the envelope.

Wait a minute, why was he excited? Was this letter something special for him? Did this letter mean that he was someone special to Gustav?

No, that's not possible! And yet his heart didn't stop beating harder, and when he took the piece of paper out of the envelope, he felt like he was unwrapping a Christmas present.

However, everything ended when he read the message left for him.

"I had to suddenly return to Norway. Take care, please, of the palace until new instructions. Gustav Meiden."
