So now I'm going to the centre of this city to test my rate for my powers. That got decided so fast, like Woah. My brother couldn't come, since it was almost his exam day and mom had to force him to go study. So, now I'm here by myself. I walked pass some buildings that's included trading markets, shops, an auction place and a super luxurious restaurant that only wealthy people can afford. I heard the food was made by a four star chef from the imperial palace. Even though it's four star, he is still very popular in our small city. As I walked more to the centre, there was ginormous wall, rounding into a circle. There was also two entrances facing my way. Small water sources on the ground with white lilies on top and green bushes surrounding it like a fence. In the water a red and white figure swimmed around. It was koi fish! I hope that represents goodluck for my power testing. As I went into a door, big stages and seats appeared like a podium. I could see alot of people waiting to test, atleast a thousand people. Of course the test is free, because you never know if your going to find a prodigy hidden.
"Wait, isn't that the cripple daughter? What is she doing here?" A woman and another woman whispered as they walked pass me.
Wow, people are still this awful. I rolled my eyes while facing on the blank floor. After everyone was settled. An announcer stepped up the huge fancy stage with different symbols on the edges.
"Hello everyone, welcome to the ability test. The test will include several trials to complete. The first test is to test your affinity with the powers you have in order to qualify. I will notify you the other tests soon after." The announcer explained.
Suddenly, thin air particles decided to form. After a few seconds it became a huge object. It was a long triangle device, there was a plate of some sort that was supported by the triangle. The triangler shape was shined by the sun to have a gold shimmer. On the face of it, it had dots that lined up in a line by a skinny line. It had 6 dots, that means six levels of affinity rate. The announcer then started talking.
"You will be putting one of your hands on the stone plate, if you feel warm energy flowing through your body. That's normal, the energy will detect the affinity rate with your powers. The lights on the device, which is the dots will turn on according to your rate. If you light up 3 and up, you will be qualified."
Mutters of the crowd started to increase.
"Are you kidding me, 3 dots and up? Why are they so strict!"
"I can't believe it! That's already like the level of a prodigy!"
"Holy cow, that means this year I'm definitely not going to qualify."
"QUIET!" The announcer yelled.
"The people that gets qualified will get a prize, every trial will have better prizes as the trials gets harder. For this trial you will get one yuanqi dan or yuanqi pill."
" WOAH, even though there not that precious, but it helps and speeds up the cultivation for yuantai stages!" A man spoke beside me, while seated.
