Chapter 268: Scrumptious Gift

Arthur's mood remained wistful a little longer. Yes, he might have failed… but perhaps it won't always be the case. This was only the beginning.

The fact still remained, however. He'd failed… and that alone was going to keep him down for a bit.

Even worse, one look at the sun made him postpone most of the plans he'd made for the day.

Earlier, he'd planned to simply visit the infirmary and find whatever relative of Brandon he'd injured. He knew to expect the worst going in… but nothing had prepared him for what he actually found.

How was Arthur to know that the same person he'd gone looking for would jog figments close to his lost memories… or lead to him uncovering some tricky way to saving the injured phoenixes… or even that he would end up visiting every other single patient in the infirmary suffering with the same ailment.
