Chapter 245: Battle of Flaming Birds

Gray and Trevor exited the castle and dove straight into the immolating waves of heat outside. Looking at the world from inside the castle, one could see the air curve in refractive patterns, the ground growing hotter with each bombardment of waves.

Despite that, the pair rushed into this catastrophe. Both of these phoenixes, as expected, remained unaffected by the waves of heat, much like another blonde girl the white phoenix had saved earlier.

"What do you plan on doing?" Trevor asked the prince when they were out of the castle.

"I plan on…" Gray's words got caught in his throat when he came face to face with an appalling scene.

Scattered all about the courtyard were phoenixes rushing to get into the castle and hide from the white phoenix's flames. Chaos filled the courtyard.

The sun up above seemed to shine even brighter in response to the awakened prince as well, bearing down on the castle and making the situation worse.
