Chapter 27: Home Moving 1

Paul enjoyed taking these last courses very much and learned a lot about history and medicine. The history was very similar to the previous world he lived in, as the vampires kept themselves hidden and did not change the course of history much.

The medicine course was where Paul learned the newest things. Who knows, in the future, he could help Carlisle at the hospital if he falsified some documents, after all, he would have a real medical education.

With Paul almost graduating in medicine, Tanya was even more certain that he was very similar to Carlisle in his resistance to human blood. After all, Paul saw many people bleeding during his courses and did not feel the slightest desire to drink human blood.

Soon Paul graduated from the courses of medicine, mathematics, and history. He did not appear on graduation day to take photos to avoid risking it, as now some cameras could save photos to send to the internet.

The era of the internet was developing at an increasingly rapid pace in America. Even young people or those who worked with technology could not get used to the changes, but for Paul, it was still too slow.

For him, who lived in a time when a person could not spend a day without a smartphone, the current technology was not good enough. Even so, Paul still bought the best notebook on the market and a cell phone.

Still, the current internet didn't have many things that interested Paul. It was different from the future where a person could spend days at home and always find new and interesting things to see.

The current year was 2002, Paul had finished all his courses, and now he would wait for the Cullens to come and talk to him. After all, in another year, the Cullens would move to Forks, which was in Washington.

Knowing this, he returned to the Denali coven's house. Even though he had distanced himself a little from the other vampires, he still wanted to spend more time with them before moving on to another place.

As Irina told what Paul was thinking, the other vampires were not upset with him and understood what he might be feeling. After all, in the past, they may have felt the same way when they had to move or saw someone they loved dying.

So they all spent time talking just as they did in the past. Paul didn't do other things to avoid getting bored and spent more time with the other vampires. The only time he stayed away was to train in blacksmithing and his katana skills.

As Paul was still curious, he called Tanya to talk to him. Tanya was curious to know what he wanted to talk about since Paul rarely called her to chat. After all, in the past, Paul had been dating Irina.

"Tanya, I wanted to ask if you know if there are other supernatural beings in this world. Like us vampires," Paul asked.

"Why are you asking me this, Paul? Did you hear about any supernatural beings while you were at the university?" Tanya asked.

"No, I didn't hear anything, but from your response, I think supernatural beings must exist. I did research at the university library, but most of the things seemed like legends, like us," said Paul.

Tanya looked at Paul for a while and then laughed. She was a little nervous seeing him asking about supernatural beings since no vampire would want these beings near where they lived.

"Supernatural beings definitely exist. Even in the past, when information took many times longer to arrive than it does today, I still heard of several cases of supernatural beings in Europe and here in America," Tanya said.

"The most well-known beings are us vampires and the werewolves. Vampires could easily blend in with humans and only had to be careful during the day, but werewolves were hunted in the past."

"Werewolves were known as monsters or cursed people, and religious humans could not allow cursed beings to exist, so they hunted them."

"I heard that some vampires also helped hunt down werewolves who were a risk of exposing vampires in the world. Additionally, some werewolves were powerful and could kill more than one vampire fighting alone," said Tanya.

Paul was surprised to learn about this history from the past. He also thought that werewolves should have been hunted, but they were hardly extinct. Therefore, werewolves should hate vampires who helped hunt them.

"Besides werewolves, I heard that there were some monsters and demons spoken of in Europe. I once saw a demon. It had red skin and horns, but it didn't attack me. It disguised itself as a human afterward and disappeared," said Tanya.

Paul finally confirmed that demons exist, but who knows if they could be hostile to vampires. After all, it was said that demons wanted to disturb humans to have their souls, but he didn't know where the souls of vampires went after they died.

"I also know that witches existed. Witches were the easiest to hide because they were already ordinary humans. I don't know how witches in America were hunted in the past, but witches in Europe knew how to hide well," said Tanya.

"I'm not sure how witches got their powers, but it seems like some made contracts with demons and sold their souls to gain power and to live longer," said Tanya.

"Do you think some of these supernatural beings could be hostile to us vampires?" asked Paul.

"I don't know. I met some witches and demons in the past, but none attacked me. I also didn't talk to them, but I don't know if it could be different from other vampires. But werewolves definitely hate us," said Tanya.

"If supernatural beings may not be hostile, why were you worried that supernatural beings might have come to Alaska?" asked Paul.

"You misunderstood. I wasn't worried that supernatural beings would come to Alaska, but if ordinary people talked about them, it would mean they were dangerous and would have attacked humans," said Tanya.

"We have lived in Alaska for many years, and we intend to continue living here in the future. That's why we don't want any supernatural beings to cause chaos here, or we might end up being involved too," explained Tanya.

Paul understood Tanya's concern. After all, if witches or demons killed people in Alaska and people investigated, they would find it strange that the Denali coven had lived in Alaska for more than 100 years.

Thanks for the comments and power stones, I'll try to write another chapter tomorrow, comment on that chapter too to cheer me up.

Tanya said that there are supernatural beings, I'm still thinking about how I'm going to add these supernatural beings to the world of Twilight, if you have an idea let me know.

They can appear while the Cullens are in Forks, or in some towns near Forks for Paul to investigate, or they can appear after the movie's story ends, but that will take a long time.
