Maulketh may not know for certain, but he had to guess he was in the Void. Why else did he feel at home here? On its own, the Law of Tyrrany was drawing in true pure Void Energy into his body using it to refine his Aether and Two Demon Dragon Hearts.
His Patron waited patiently for the rush of him returning to the Void before she brought up the reason she had to intervene. Maulketh spent only 5 minutes in his blissful state before he got himself in control. Quite fast in her opinion.
"It's a pleasure to meet you in the flesh my benefactor, but I believe this is not a normal meeting."
She took a few moments to collect her thoughts as she thought she would not be intervening in his life but had been forced to. Otherwise, he would have been as good as dead and she could not allow Maulketh who was effectively her son die.
"Maulketh."
She only said his name, but he got chills. It was a memory from nearly two millennia ago, but it reminded him of his mother. A person he had all but forgotten, but remembered now.
Not just her, he could barely remember his original family. Over the years their memories had begun to fade in the hundreds of years he spent training and sleeping. Replaced by the memories he made with his family.
How could he have allowed that to happen as their loss had been what made him the individual he used to be? Mark The Night Haunter. He shook his head and got back on track.
She was trying to teach him an important lesson. He closed his eyes and returned to his human form in a burst of Aether. Gram, Laevetine, and Tyron stayed silent while waiting for her to speak. Speaking in this form was challenging, but she had been practicing.
"What was your goal?"
He reached up and ran a hand through his beard.
"I wanted power so I was going to consume some of the more unique powers in that reality."
"It's not a bad thing, but do you think you are mighty enough?"
He wanted to say yes, his very Law demanded it. He was a being with his own Law. The power to make reality submit to his every whim was his command. But, when his Patron who had rarely communicated with him asked him that after saving his hide, he ate his pride for once in a long time.
"No. I am not. I picked off more than I could chew and it nearly cost my life."
She nodded.
"Exactly. You are still Far from strong enough in this infinite existence. If not for me, you would be dead a thousand times already. The creator of that reality has been trying to get you out since you fell in and the only he has not succeeded is because I stopped it. That is why you were allowed to do as you please. However, this invasion of yours was many times more serious.
You opened a gate to this reality full of beings of considerable power. Some far stronger than you."
He closed his eyes as he felt draconic instincts rage at the thought of being too weak. All his training and all of his power were still not enough. What did he need to do before he could become unchallenged?
"You are still too weak my spawn. You are too green, but that is ok. You are young, getting stronger is easy. You just need more direction and some help."
She began to walk away while motioning for him to follow. There was no ground to walk on as the Void was just a rolling sea of purplish glowing energy. He followed behind her as he was interested in something.
"You called me your spawn. Why?"
"My Void Essence is what started your entire journey. When you died, your soul did not go on into your earth's reincarnation pathway. It broke away as your system is several billion years old and has not had maintenance in some time.
When your soul entered the Void, I just happened to be drifting along its path. Do you know why I bothered my spawn? I could have just destroyed it, eaten it, enslaved it. Instead, I empowered it and gave you the perfect body for you to craft into your own."
Maulketh thought about it as he followed behind his 'spawner'.
"Did I have an affinity for Void Essence?"
She nodded glad he caught on quickly.
"To a very high degree. I have seen many beings from every path try to gain the Void's power for their own. Most perish under its corrupting touch while others become nothing more than gibbering Void Spawn or become even worse. You on the other hand drew it in. Became nourished by it made it your own.
Your time spent in that world was well spent, but you became too strong in a weak world. In very little time you were without anything or anyone to push you truly. Then you were sent to a reality much stronger than your own. It's a case of bad luck my spawn."
She waited for his answer, but he asked something else. Something he actually struggled to say.
"Can you call me son instead of spawn?"
She paused as she knew it was quite an innocent desire. He was only 11 years old when his entire family died. His mother died on his 11th birthday which was almost three thousand years ago from his use of Time Formations.
He was already her spawn in everything, so why not?
"I might consider it if you call me Mother."
Maulketh smiled and said it.
"Mother."
It caused her dollish features to lift into a smile.
"I like it. Back on track, I dragged your demon army back into your realm while sending the Solar System you made into your realm for you to use. I also sealed that reality once more as it is much too soon for you to be thinking of invading that place."
Maulketh was annoyed at that.
"Damn, I needed to eat Darkseid. I need his power."
"The Omega Effect would have had a good synergy with your Law. However, it would have pushed you even deeper into the side of evil. You are already starting to be warped by your Law and your other powers are not balancing it out."
Maulketh paused for a moment when he heard that. He knew it was the case as he was conflicted about the brainwashing he did on his lovers. It was not his proudest moment, but he had consciously made that decision.
"I see. How do I begin to balance this out?"
She turned around and sat down. In reality, she was just floating while sitting crossed leg. He did the same in front of her as she extended her hands for him He reached out and held her hands. She looked toward him and spoke as she began to help him refine his Aether herself.
She used her own pure Void Essence as a god of the Void. Maulketh began to feel Aether grow more powerful, but this is what it should have been, to begin with. His Law would have gotten to this point in time, but it was nowhere near as fast as her doing it.
"Let's talk about you as an individual my boy. Your Law, The Law of Tyranny as it sounds makes you embody what a Tyrrant is. You created it by fusing Domination and Supremacy which grant you considerable power. You are not the first to make an amalgam law and you don't be the last.
The issue comes as a result that you have not balanced it out with something to keep yourself stable. You went right off the deep end and your energy Aether is not helping. It's powerful, but do you know why you hated the taste of Holy Energy?"
"Because I made myself it's the polar opposite?"
She nodded.
"I am happy you're smart. Exactly. And you are planning on consuming the 7 Sins? If you do, you will start to begin to exhibit even more dark thoughts than you already do. You might even become so evil that you will see your family as nothing more than property.
You might even think they are better used eaten rather than cherished. What would happen if you got the sins of Pride, Greed, and Gluttony? Imagine it."
He closed his eyes as he did. If he got those sins his thoughts could fall into very dark thoughts.
'Their powers would better serve me so I will just eat them. At least they are alleveating my hunger. Would that happen?'
He could not let it happen at all.
"What can I do to stop it?"
"Simple. When you begin to collect the Sins, eat their opposite Virtues. If for nothing more just have a counterbalance. Begin to look into adding in more Holy energies rather than the Darj ones you have focused on. For now, I will help you out with something else.
Increasing your control over your own innate Void Powers. Your soul has been so saturated with Aether that with uses your Law and several energies including Void Essence to create it. We are not going to do anything to it as it is your creation.
All I did was just refine it a bit. You just need to balance it with something to prevent you from going off the deep end. Instead, you are going to be spending quite a bit of time here with me.
When I say you are ready, I will send you straight to Hell and then Heaven. Your goal will be to kill the Seven Deadly Sin Demons and the 7 Virtue Angels. Starting with the Angels. Of course, your Army will be going with you."
You might die even for you and I do not want that. Are you up to the challenge?"
He nodded and lowered his head.
"I am ready for instruction. You would know better than me."
She reached out and patted his head. Quite easy for her as she was the same height as him.
"Alright then. Stand up. Let's get started right away. Don't use your Symbols of Power or your Law. Just your Aether. And I will try to hold back. I will show you the power of a small portion of my power."
She lept away from him and in an instant, she had changed from her human form into a dragon one. Maulketh always believed he was big, but she was titanic. At least 25 miles long and so beautiful.

She grinned as she looked down at him.
"This is not my true form you know. Just a form I took because I thought you would like it. Now come on, show me your true self."
Maulketh popped his neck before he reverted into his Dragon Form. He was only three miles long. Much smaller than she was, but he did not need to overpower her. He could not, this was training.
"Come on, attack me with everything. I will help you learn the true power of the Void."
Maulketh flapped his wings as Aether Lightning began to crackle through his nerves and body. He moved through the void and around his 'mother'. Calling her that still felt odd, but not bad. He opened his mouth and took a deep breath drawing in Void Essence before combusting it with Aether.
He roared and blasted out a purple ionizing ray of fire at her. She did not bother to dodge or block as she allowed it to strike her on the head. The fire seemed to dissipate and dim before vanishing.
He knew that would happen so he began to continue his assault. Lightning raged from his body blasting down at her. Aether-fueled Water and Ice tried to envelop her, but they were just eaten by her strange body.
Maulketh did not stop using every Aether power he had. Fire, Lightning, Water, Ice, Lava, Poison, Acid, but of course none of it worked. She let him continue his attacks for 10 minutes before she put a stop to it with a single wave of her wings launching him away.
She returned to her human form before drawing him back to her side as a human. He sighed as while he knew he was outmatched, it did not suck any less.
"Ok, you need some work. And I am here to help you."
