Chapter 7: 7 _ Insults.
Lucian glanced towards his father. He was watching him closer than before.
As of warning him not to make any mistake dealing with Ae - Cha. It was already evening as the festivities really began in the fullest after all the necessary introductions had been made.
A number of servants came in holding trays in their uniformed outfits of Maroon and Pale white. They bowed their heads before serving the royals. It was forbidden that a mere slave of the lowest rank should look eye to eye with others of higher calibre not to speak of nobility.
Li Huang shifted arrangements so that Lucian could be seated next to the Lady Ae-Cha. Their marriage would be majorly beneficial to the power of his Kingdom.
And Lucian knew better than to put him to the test.
"Good day to you , Lady Ae-Cha." The woman beside him sipped her tea and placed it delicately on the China cloth as if it would break at the slightest touch. "Good day , Your Highness." She replied icily.
"It is a wonderful day , isn't it?" He asked gazing at the clouds .
"You can skip the pleasantries, Your Majesty I know that all these women are choices for you to wed and I am merely a proposition." Ae-Cha derided. "All due to my Father's wealth, I suppose."
Lucian shrugged and drank from his tea. Their conversation was an intrigue and he wanted her to indulge him. "And will you obey your father's wishes?"
Ae-Cha nodded pleasantly towards Leticia Petunia who was now glaring at her vexed, nose upturned, looking peevish in her Royal attire made of Fluid Turquoise merged with Beige and Olive vines. "I have no qualms about our marriage and I am sure that you will perform all your duties by me as your Wife and Empress of your Kingdom.
She gave him a pointed look. 'I believe you do know how to make Children?"
Lucian gave her a queer look before replying "Yes, I am well versed."
'Good!" Ae-Cha declared satisfactorily. "If not , I'd advise you'd get some practice."
At that point , a sultry maid servant came over to where they sat and began serving Ae-Cha more tea without her consent. The Noble Lady grew stern complained "How dare you come over here to interrupt us , you mere servant!!!!"
The suddeness of her harsh voice startled the Maid servant so much that she jostled the Tray she held an all its contents spilled on to the glamorous dress of the Lady.
This so annoyed her that she shrieked loudly , grabbing the attention of all present.
"You wretched slave , You have the impudence to spill tea on my robes that costs more than your entire family sold altogether! I demand an apology !"
The indignant maid bowed her head But made no move to speak.
The Royals and Nobles began to mummur. Such reluctance would not never be tolerated in their Kingdoms.
Lucian stood up menacingly to face his maid. "Do you not Know how to respect your Royalty , Peasant girl ?! " He growled at the girl with her head still lowered. "Apologise to the Noble Lady Ae-Cha, right now!"
The maid kept quiet.
" Go on your knees and render your apologises right now or you will be tied up in the Courtyard , stripped and beaten in an open display" He spoke smugly.
The maid instantly fell to her knees and apologized to the Ruthless Lady who huffed and looked away.
Li Huang grinned inwardly as Aurora heart despaired as she watched the proceeding nearby. She didn't want Lucian going down this path. Becoming who he was in the past.
Yu taken aback while Hikaru was surprised. The other Royalty and Nobles around nodded in affirmative.
It was the proper thing to be done.
Lucian didn't mind them.
He pushed past the Maid making her fall to the floor and headed towards his Chambers. He was done for the day.
They wouldn't understand .
