Chapter 57: Start of misfortune

The snow began to melt in his world as Ryan stood expressionless, looking at the spot from which Lina had disappeared. 

A white figure wearing a robe and veil floated beside Ryan, and the closer she got, the faster the snow melted.

"Ryan Cassier," Lifa's voice sounded serene and peaceful. 

Ryan looked behind at the voice that called him. 

"Are you the spirit she talked about? It's a concept I didn't hear about in the novel," Ryan blinked slowly and gently, raising his head in wonder.

" I am Life, but for that girl, I was a grandma and a guardian spirit, even though she knows that I am a world law," Lifa responded with nostalgia. 

"World law, the one that the world consciousness talked about. Still not something I know about. It wasn't mentioned in the novel." Ryan pondered as she nodded her head. 

"Hmm, are you the one who came to bring me back?" 

"Yes," Lifa replied shortly.
