Chapter 49: Decisions

"Thank you for the evening, Helen, Albert." Allen said his goodbyes at the door.

"Please, come back whenever you want! This is your house now." Helen said, her arms wrapped around Albert.

"Next time I'll show you my fishing gear. Maybe you can join my brother and I if you want." Albert added trying to hide his excitement. He loved fishing.

Allen smiled widely, stretching his hand towards him and shaking it. "Sure. I'll get going now, then."

He waved one last time, before finally stepping out of the house. It was already dark outside, the air was chilly and fresh. Isabelle followed him from behind until the stopped at his truck, where he swiftly dragged Isabelle into a hug. Isabelle giggled, quickly hugging him back. 

"I don't want you to leave." She said against his chest, her voice muffled by his shirt.

"I don't wanna go either..." He said, feeling the knot forming in his throat. "got a question."
