Dena opened her eyes to find herself trapped inside a bubble. She looked around her. It was all covered with thousands of screens. Like watching a movie, the stage had changed over and over again. Dena thought her head would break from the massive information. She saw Edwin go through every possible scenario to help his loved ones. Dena lost count of the number of times he died or witnessed the death of his brother, family and friends. She watched the people she knew to change their behaviour every time. Once, Noah had no interest in Edwin. The other time, he was his lover. But the most heartbreaking moment was when Edwin let go of his wolf. He found a Mage to help him get rid of his repeating tragedy. He traded his wolf to be a regular man and die naturally. His wolf's gaze was an embodiment of betrayal.
Dena's tears fell on her lap. Now She had a goal in her life. She would do anything to help that pitiful wolf to fulfil his wishes.
It didn't bother her if she lived in this world with the wolf for the rest of her life.
Suddenly the bubble burst. Dena thought she would fall into the ground but ended up naked in front of Noah and Radin.
The three men looked at each other in amazement. Radin grabbed a sheet and wrapped it around Edwin.
" Thank you."
Dena was embarrassed to find herself like this in front of two hot guys.
Radin nodded and waved to Noah to leave the room. Noah strolled toward Edwin, who was seated on the ground, without batting an eyelash.
" How do you feel? Are you okay?"
" Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Dena asked, perplexed.
" Because you turned into a 2-meter wolf?!!"
Noah spoke in a questioning manner.
"What?!"
"Look around you. The bed is in this condition, thanks to you!"
Dena's head was pulsing from a headache. There was a voice in her head.
'I'm sorry. I was excited and came out as you were going through my memories.'
Dena put her hand on the brow. She thought this was the beginning of the endless trouble her wolf would give her in the future.
'Don't ever do that. It's dangerous. Someone would try to kill you.'
' I know! I wanted to see these two!'
' why?'
' I missed them. They were the only ones who visited me when I was trapped there."
' okay, but next time you should ask for permission.'
Noah waited for Edwin's reaction. But he looked like he was in LaLa land. He shook his hand at Edwin's face. " Hello! Earth to Edwin."
Dena's eyes came to focus. " Did you ask something?"
" No, can you stand up? Are you hungry? Do you need to take a shower? Need a little help with that?"
Radin couldn't stand Noah's involvement anymore.
" Noah, I think you should go now."
" Why? Wherever Edwin is, I'll be there."
"Noah, for the last time, go outside!"
" No, he is my Alpha!"
" He is my mate!!! I don't want to see any other man standing beside his naked body!"
The two brothers were standing face to face fuming.
"What's going on?"
Dena raised her hand to attract their attention and inquired, perplexed.
" Alpha? Mate?"
Radin took a deep breath and, without looking at Edwin, he walked out of the room.
" Why is he like this? Did I say something wrong?"
"No, he's simply frustrated. Let's get some clothes on you, and then I'll explain everything."
Noah went to the walking closet and brought simple sports attire for Edwin.
"I'm waitin' outside."
Dena quickly dressed and asked the wolf what they were referring to.
' Are you an Alpha wolf?'
'I do not know. I have never been in a pack or in contact with other wolves.'
' In the book, your mate was Noah. Then why now is Radin? Could you do that? '
'All the while that man was with Noah, I never once caressed or desired him. It was as though the man was the one with a strong connection to him, not to me.'
'Do you have any feelings for Radin? '
'I'm fond of his wolf. Don't you recall the white wolf? '
'Oh, right! It was him. But don't you think that when you see your partner, it should be like fireworks or something that makes you go crazy? Why did it go that way?'
Her wolf didn't have an answer to that.
When Dena thought she was presentable, she glanced around the lounge. Noah and Radin were seated around the dining table.
Dena went slowly toward them.
" Here, We ordered a variety of food. We didn't know your preference." Noah said apologetically.
" Thank you, I am not a picky eater."
Dena sat while speaking.
The room was awkwardly silent.
"When do we discuss elephants in the room?"
Dena asked, dying from curiosity.
Noah opened his mouth to say that he would entrust this matter to his brother, but surprisingly, Radin stood up and went to the balcony.
" I need a smoke."
Dena watched his dejected back and turned to Noah with questioning eyes.
"Really, what did I do wrong?"
Noah sighed. Before Edwin's arrival, he wanted to calm his brother down. Edwin was quite an odd case. His wolf was abnormal. Noah wasn't familiar with werewolf mating, but he had heard the legendary stories about it in the history books.
Usually, at their first meeting, both sides could identify with ease. However, the possibility of finding one was indeed small. So when one can't distinguish the mate, the blow would be unbearable.
' you should go after him. I can sense the state of his wolf was not right.'
Dena listened to the advice of her wolf.
She took some sandwiches and followed Radin to the balcony.
The sunlight shone on Radin, emphasising his glowing eyes and brightening his blonde hair. Dena was stunned, engrossed by this beautiful image.
"Is it all right if I join you?"
Radin turned his face towards him. " If I say no, would you leave me alone?"
Dena smiled. "Of course, no! My wolf was worried about you."
Radin lifted his brows. " You could communicate with your wolf?"
"Yes, you cannot do that? We saw that white wolf of yours playing with us."
" My wolf? Why are you separating yourself from the wolf?"
" Ha? We are not?"
"No, when I turn to the wolf, it's still me, not someone else."
" Oh! So according to you, something is wrong with me. Sorry about that. Your mate is me, the default one."
"Did you accept me as such?" asked Radin in shock.
"I found you attractive and hot. So does my wolf. Nevertheless, we don't know if this is bonding or something else."
" I am not in a hurry."
Dena grinned happily. " Here, have some."
Radin took a sandwich and thought this wasn't bad. At least Edwin's into it.
