Once I reach to the palace, I query the henchman who has been waiting at the gate. I can't even catch a shadow of her. It is such a shame I thought she would welcome me. "Pardon?" The henchman lifts his head under a surprised expression. Not this reaction again.

A smile spreads upon my lips. Is it that shocking to hear me addressing their queen by name? Do they think I have a close relationship with her perhaps? It makes me feel proud. "Verena. I am asking where she is" I repeat, beneath a confident beam. "A... Ah, Her Majesty is-"

When the henchman lowers his head to answer, I dash past him. "My queen!" A shout echoes as I rush towards the woman who is heading to my direction. She welcomes me! It is just I arrived a little early before she's done. To think she would welcome me, delights me wholly.
