Chapter 101: The Interruption

AYAN'S POV

"So do you think you can do it?" I asked Teon the following day after my meeting with the Emperor. " Do you think you can get ready for a tea party?"

Teon turned his head to the side for a moment on the picnic mat. We were relaxing in the middle of the palace gardens close to his wing. We would occasionally take breaks on some days so that he wouldn't be overwhelmed by the lessons.

"I don't really like nobles a lot of the ones I've met have judged me and been pretty mean to me," Teon explained. " They all look down on me because I'm a peasant."

"I know some of them can be mean but most of it is because they don't really know you. Remember Serena tried to sabotage you and your image and make you seem like but the more you show yourself to the public the more people will come to like you too." I tried to explain to him.

"What do I have to do?" He asked.
