Chapter 143: She Was Trapped

She tapped on the window to gain his attention but only silence mocked him. Her eyes started to widen as he took another turn. They entered a dark area with old and ruined buildings with no light or people.

The area looked completely abandoned. She knocked on the connecting window again with more force this time. Though she was sure she was not going to get any reply.

Her eyes scanned the carriage as if she was looking for a soul that could save her. She suddenly regretted not returning to the Tavern.

"I know what you are doing here? You will regret it. Do you think no one would come to look for me? I have a large family and many friends. They all will start looking for me." she regretted not bringing the weapon too. 

Since Tavern was holding a sword, she did not pay much attention to her own weapons. More than that, nothing had ever happened to them. How could she have anticipated this?
