Lia stared at the tea again. She did not want to drink it. Her stomach was churning every time she thought of all the possibilities. 

"There, there… you should not take your mother's word so seriously. I am sure she will be better." The woman picked up the tea and passed it to Lia. Lia's face strained with a forced smile. 

She could not refuse if mother Superior was serving the tea to her. She was the woman who had approached her on the day Nathan's death was announced and she had attended his funeral.
