Nathan was pacing in his room with a dark face when the door of his study knocked.

"Did I not inform all of you to not disturb you?" His voice was harsh as he glared at the maid who dared to knock on the door.

It had been half a day since he had helped in swapping the new lover named Mary from his brother's palace and sending a spy there. Garrison had told him that he would inform him as soon as the task was done but there was no message arrived yet.

He was dying with anxiety. What if the girl was caught and took his name? For decades, he was living like a dead soul in this palace because he did not want to embrace darkness.
