Lucas did not wear the armor like other knights. He did not cover his face with a helmet either. If the lance hit him, he could lose his life without that protection.

Everyone gasped when he just walked toward the railing and jumped on the other side. Taking the horse of the knight who had just fallen on the ground and lost the game, he mounted on it in a suave manner earning many cheers and gasps from the crowd.

When he tilted his head, he could see many young women swooning over his actions. Hearts were falling from their eyes and they could not stop cheering but his eyes stilled on Elowen who was talking to a maid and sipping juice.

His eyes went grim instantly. He had come so far to get her attention yet she was enjoying the juice rather than cheering for him. He had never been ignored by a woman.
