Chapter 257: Lies That Can Ruin Them

Meredith entered the powder room slowly, as though time was abundant, yet her eyes were keen, scanning the space as soon as the door opened. The scene before her stunned her momentarily. 

Elowen stood near the door, while her maid crouched on the ground, diligently working to clear a wine stain with a wet handkerchief. Elowen's gaze was fixed on Ana, her expression etched with disgust.

  Ana, in the throes of retching, appeared a mess with wine stains marring her face, and her eyes were unfocused. Meredith's revulsion was instantaneous. 

"Your Highness, you should not pay too much attention to her. If you grow paler, the second prince might become concerned," Nadia sighed as she tried to clean the stain once more, though the red mark persisted on the silk dress. 

A small smirk formed on Meredith's face as she walked closer.

"What a coincidence to see you here, Princess Elowen," Meredith walked in, feigning ignorance.
