"What do you mean i can not take her back?" Garrison glared at the physician who took a step back but did not change his words.

"It is as you heard, your grace. The duchess needs rest. It would be better that she rest here. A long journey might affect her wounds if she slipped off her seat and no, it would be bad for her if she rode a horse." Garrison's lips pressed into a thin line.

His jaws ticked as he stared at the old stubborn man. 

"Let her rest here. You can take her home after a week. It would be better after the royal ball. We will see how better she is handling the ball for giving her medicines." He announced in a dismissive tone.

He was the only one who never bowed in front of Garrison no matter how much power he held.

Though he had no reason to doubt this man's intentions, Garry did not trust him.
