Chapter 70: Counting On You

Melia felt her head hurt. She knew that she should not leave with this maid. But no matter how much she wanted to struggle, her body did not react.

The girl smiled as she held Melia and took her out of the duchess room.

"Please.. I did not."

"Did I not ask you if you are ready for the consequences? I have given you three chances, but you took none of them. Now it is time to pay! Have a good night, Melia." Ana waved her hands when she saw helplessness in the eyes of Melia.

She wanted to struggle but her body was completely numb from the drugs she had taken.

Many maids had seen Melia taking the wine in the duchess's room. They noticed how Maggie held the drunk woman out. They were shocked to their wits.

"I thought that the head maid would apologize to the lady. Did she drink the whole bottle by herself?" 

"I wonder! Did she misbehave with the lady again in her drunk state?"
