Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Building

"Too bad though. Since this kobold has long died, it is not possible to try and replicate its magical properties. Plus, the kobold is still too young. Not much can be understood of what effect the magical property even has."

All the child could get from it is enhanced regeneration and strength. And even those two are just conjectured according to what he knows. There was no telling of what it truly does.

But since the magical part of the kobold was for now not of use, the child looked lower, where something else of interest resides.

"This should be the first dual gendered creature I have seen."

The child focused on the kobolds crotch, it was not that the usual gender tools were lacking but thay they were in excess. From the exterior, it see like a female, but within, the child could senses the organs that he presumed should be male parts.

But similar to the magical parts, since the little kobold was underdeveloped, it's full function is not as apparent. Only though deduction can the child determine its possible function.

"This seems like the kind reproductive of system I am looking for."

Since the kobolds have two reproductive systems, or rather one that can work both ways, this means that every single kobold in their pack can reproduce anytime without a mate.

"If can get the goblins to reproduce in the same way, then when one goblin had the kind of characteristics that I prefer, I can be able to clone it as much as I want.

Plus, with this kind of repeoductive method, lots of time can be cut down and there would be no need for any usless donors. Each goblin would be able to change from warrior to mother at any time."

That is of course if he can copy the kobold's reproductive method. Which for the time being, would be impossible. As copying the organ would not be possible since he did not have its complete form as of yet.

And even if he did, it would still take a long time to change the goblin species from a dual gendered into a singular gendered species. And time is at the moment, something he did not have excess amounts of.

So the child completely dissolved the kobold. No longer lingering on it for much longer. As more pressing matter needed his attention.

"It is time to create my two specialised goblins."

The child had thought it through. For the coming few days, what he will focus on should be fortifying his base. Making sure that nothing would ever breach his defenses.

And in order to do that, he would need two special types of goblins.

The builder goblins and the archer goblins.

The uses of the two goblins are pretty clear. The builder goblins will build him the perfect fort to keep him safe. While the archer goblin will be watch on top of the soon to be fort while putting arrows on whatever comes near.

Both of these two goblins would not require too much time to develop. As both of them only need him to tweek a little bit of the inherent knowledge of a normal goblin in order for them to be complete.

And truly six hours was not long, as the child completed both archer and builder goblins. Then, he took the next few hours making two builder goblins.

Which could be considered a mild experiment on its own. As up till now, the child has never made more than one goblin simultaneous.

Luckily though, the experiment was a success. As he did manage to create two goblins at the same time. But creating two of them still took a little longer than creating one, so he didn't really increase his creation rate by 100%. Still though, about two hours were saved due to his multitasking. So one can't say it had no merit.

Since the two builder goblins were complete, the child threw them out of his core like he rest. And with the usual splat, the two fell to the muddy ground.

Like those before them, the two goblins looked confusedly around. But unlike those before them, the two did not have much in their heads.

For them, they only know two things, how to build and how to eat. So the first thing the two did, was the second of the two. They got up went over towards the life puddle and took a sip of the energy filled life water.

Whilst they were still doing that, the child made four objects for them. Two loincloths and two wheelbarrows. One for each of them.

With their stomach now filled for the next few hours or so, the two left the portal clothed with wheelbarrows in hand. Like that, they left to do the only thing other than eating they know how to do.

At first, the two were amazed when they looked at the scenery. After all, these things weren't in their inherent knowledge. But with the child's orders, they took their eyes away from the marvel things and focused on what they were made to do.

He two thus left and went behind the portal, which was a large mountain. Something the child did not expect to have his portal appears right next to. As when dungeons apper, it is usually near or in something similar to their interiors. So the child had expected to have his portal open up on a cave or near one. But instead it appeared near a mountain.

Although the position isn't as good as a cave, it has its own advantages. Because the child now had a good place to get building materials.

With one hobgoblin helping out, the two dug out some rocks in the mountain and loaded them up. Using the wheelbarrow, the two pulled the rocks back to the portal.

Once inside, the two then poured the rocks into the dungeon core. Which easily and smoothly passed through.

After that, the child then gave the two fruits to reward them. Like always, the child needed to give all the goblins a reason to go foward. As although these builder goblins only know how to build, they will at some point ask themselves, "Why should we build while everyone lazes around?"

After all, these goblins aren't stupid... Well, they are stupid, but not retarted.

So in order to avoid such an occurrence from happenings, the child implemented the reward system into building.

In the core, the child used his earth type ether to fuse all the rocks and transform them into the right shape.

It didn't take long for the child to do that, as when it comes to ether, such tasks were far too easy for him. So in almost no time, the rocks turned into a tough, condensed and 0.5 meter tall brick.

The child then took the brick out of the dungeon core. With how large the brick was, it was of course not possible for the two goblins to move it. But the child had already anticipated that. That was why he created the brick with wheels below it. Because of that, the two goblins were able to move the brick outside of the portal where it will stay there until it is needed.

As for the two goblins, they went back to collect the more rocks.

AN: Hello my valued readers... *caugh*... You have probabbly noticed that in the past few days...*sniff*... I haven't updated a single chapter. I know I have previously taken a few days without... *cough* *cough*... updating. But this time it isn't just because I was lazy.

As you can see... *Achoo*... I have been sick. *Sniff* So bear with me okay. As I am currently trying to write the finale of this volume. Which is really hard when you are not of sound mind.
