Once Adrienne was settled inside the room prepared for her, Camilla's lips curled up. She and Madam Gu instructed Irina to stay outside the room.

"Look after your young miss. Make sure no one dares to disturb her rest." Camilla told Irina before leaving with Madam Gu.

Irina sneered inwardly. They were forcing her to keep watch outside, but she suspected that there was a hidden passage within the room connecting it to the next one.

Only two rooms were on this level, and she didn't even have to guess who occupied the next room. The room they assigned to Adrienne was at the end of the hallway, and there was no other way of leaving but to pass the other room before reaching the massive staircase.
