Hunter was taken aback upon hearing Adrienne's words. He couldn't believe that wicked nurse had tried to send her to Elysian. If Adrienne wasn't aware of the true nature of that place, she might have been ruined. She wasn't trying to make excuses with her action, but merely allowing her enemies the taste of their own medicine. 

"Who would dare to send you to that place?" He hissed.

Hunter couldn't understand how Adrienne could remain calm after knowing this. No woman should be subjected to such a scheme. Adrienne was still young and she wouldn't survive in a place like Elysian.

"Would you believe it if I tell you that it's my dearest sister, Elise Jiang?" Adrienne kept her mother's hand on hers. "The card they handed to me was released under my father's name. To think he would conspire with my good siblings to send me to that place was really amazing."
