Little did Augustya know the book was emitting a small fraction of cosmic radiation, which was not a good sign. Cosmic radiation consists of high-energy charged particles, x-rays, and gamma rays produced in space. 

It was also influencing his mind, like mood swings or changing into a beast. Fortunately, Sparrow placed the book in a safe place while testing Augustya's radiation level. The result shocked both of them, as Augustya didn't expose much except mood swings and a fever. Besides, Augustya's capacity for radiation was abnormal. Moreover, Sparrow wasn't affected by the cosmic radiation because of his programming.

He sighed and answered in a hushed tone, "Two days ago I met a stranger, quite invincible though. I couldn't figure out which species he was, but he sounded archaic."

Both of them were distressed when they heard it. Even though Augustya had been hiding things from them, he had never lied once.
