Chapter 338: Materials and Grimoires, Part 1

Here's the problem. I only had two pairs of hands, and they were already fully occupied with keeping Dess from breaking free. 

"Wisdom!" Liara yelled in warning. 

The she-elf was doing very well keeping Delphine and Morph from getting themselves killed, but two was her limit. 

"Stop Zen!" my betrothed yelled. 

Yeah, I may not have thought this side-adventure through. To be fair, I didn't know Dwalinn had strengthened his 'Gold Fever' trap so that it was now even harder to fight off if you weren't aware of it. Hel, I could hear the temptation grazing my brain too, trying to push me into giving in to the treasure around me. I assumed Liara was feeling it as well, but the she-elf was holding on like I was. 

"Vargr," I cursed. 

Then I stomped hard on the ground, causing my shadow to wriggle. 

"Phantasm, do what Liara said," I ordered.
