I crashed into a bed of gold that helped cushion my fall a little, although it still hurt my ass by a lot. 

"Where's Liara…?" I gasped. 

My betrothed was nowhere in sight, but that might be because my vision was far too blurry to see anything right now. Still, I couldn't help but wonder where Liara was when I needed her help. 

"I'm okay…" I told myself. "I can do this…all—"

The crash had messed with my internals so badly that I failed to notice when Fenrisúlfr arrived next to me with his foot careening toward my head like he was in a rush to kick me through another goalpost.
