Chapter 197: Good Omens, Part 2

I let out a deep sigh… 

I've just finished fighting one mythical monster, and now I was being roped into challenging another one—a jötunn too. 

A while back, I mentioned that there were few things in the realmsverse worse than humans. Draugrs and orcs were on that list but jötunns—particularly the ice giants of Jotunheim—were at the top of it. In terms of general douchebag-ery, they even outclassed the chromatic dragons. 

So, yes, jötunns were a race I actively tried to avoid. Especially when I didn't have Divah by my side. 

"Never pick a fight with a jötunn if you can help it, kiddo. Those swina bqllr* are never worth the trouble," was one of Divah's most common reminders. 

I sighed again. 

In hindsight, being favored by a god wasn't all it was cracked up to be, reminding me once more why I didn't trust them.
