Chapter 2: Chapter 2: A New Life (Reworked)
Living with my new mom in this new life was easy, all I had to do was make random sounds throughout the day and that would gain her attention. From listening to my surroundings, it seems I was the result of a one-night stand and my father is a no-show and probably does not know I exist.
The current period is 1994 so technology has not advanced to where it was in my past life or where it would be in the future.
In my baby's cradle, I hear a yelling voice that startled me, "where's my little Jason, Mary where is he" Susan my aunt said entering through the front door with her husband Robert trailing behind her. Mary is the younger sibling of the two. As the three hugged; Mary took them to see me in my cradle.
Susan comes up to me and picks me up to hug me and give me kisses on my face, while she does that her husband behind her waves at me and smiles. Susan and Mary decided to talk and see how they are doing while I and Robert watched tv.
-4 hours later-
After my mom and aunt Susan finished catching up and talking about random things, I was not paying attention to their conversation. Aunt Susan and uncle Robert said their goodbye to me and Mary, leaving to head home. Mary seeing It was kind of late mom went to put me in my bed to put me asleep
-7 years later-
As I grew older, I looked more and more handsome, not to be conceited but to whomever my dad I must thank him for the great genes he gave me. "R.O.B. scammed me, where are the powers I wished for" I yell to myself. I hope my powers will develop later in life, but now I should worry about school and mom.
Living in Detroit has its ups and downs and based on the area you're living in you can have a good time and a bad time. With meta-humans running around and people with advanced technology, it can be a dangerous city without superheroes unlike Gotham, Metropolis, Central City, Washington DC, and Star City.
-9 years later-
Now in high school, I work at a part-time job at a pizzeria to make some pocket cash. For the past 9 years, I have been trying to use my powers, but it was a dud. I asked my mom to sign me up for a bunch of after-school activities like MMA, sewing class (hey don't judge) and cooking and she set me up with a tutor because my grades were terrible.
While working at my job at the pizzeria, my manager told me to take the trash out back and I tried to throw the trash in the bin but instead, I sent the trash bag flying across town. Looking at my hands I looked shocked as for a long time I'd been trying to use my power and then they just showed up, "I GOT POWERS" I yelled in excitement.
Finishing my work so I can head home and test out my abilities. When I got home it was 10 pm I yelled "mom I'm home," I said looking around I see my mom sleeping on the couch with my dinner wrapped on the dinner table. Going over to her I kiss her forehead and head to my room to get changed into something more comfortable.
After changing my clothes, I head to my backyard once in my backyard I try flying but fail. After 2 minutes of trying, I started to float up, now in the sky, I try to fly around but struggle as I have never flown before. "I think I'm going to need some training," I said. I think I can be the hero Detroit needs.
-The Next Day-
After a night of testing my powers, I got a gist of them and my limits. "I really have super strength, speed, endurance, stamina, flight, enhanced lung ability, Nigh-Invulnerability, enhanced healing factor, longevity, and these are just the basics of tactile telekinesis and I have not even used my energy manipulation, I said.
After getting ready for school and eating breakfast I leave and meet up with my best friend Sammy or Samuel Green. "How was work Jason" Sammy said coming up behind me. "It was fine I'm just tired after a long day," I said giving Sammy a fist bump and walking into the front door of the school
-8 hours later-
After a long day at school, I headed to work at the Pizzaria.
