Prelude to Academy Arc

"Don't give up! Don't let the YOUTH in you die!"

Well, I gave up. I laid down on the ground, tired from running whole hundred rounds of the training ground.

"Sh-"

"Don't mind me! *huff*, continue running, Naruto!"

Naruto obediently nodded and continued running behind Guy-sensei while I crawled away from their way, and sat down under a tree.

I guees I am not really cut out for physical exercise...

Three years have passed since Guy-sensei began teaching us, which was mostly just physical exercise, and occasional spar.

While Naruto isn't exactly an early bloomer like Kakashi, who became a chunin at our age, he is a genius at taijutsu for sure. Even though I haven't seen how a genin fights, I am sure that he can win against any genin fresh out of academy in taijutsu atleast.

And for me, I don't really know how good or bad I am.

Aside from taijutsu, I had Naruto master tree walking, which took him around a year.

Then, the only other thing I focused on was fuinjutsu.

From what I know so far, fuinjutsu is really like a programming language. But it isn't magic. There is no concept of gravity seal for training, or atleast I don't know about it.

As we need better hardware for executing a more complex program, we need chakra here.

The problem here is that we must know the concept about the things we want to accomplish with fuinjutsu, have the necessary resources, and specify how to accomplish that thing. This means that I can't exactly create a Flying Thunder God seal, since I don't know how Space-Time works.

And I curse myself for not paying enough attention in the job market in my previous life. Due to the IT boom, and being in Bangaluru, almost every college student learned some sort of programming language. Though the most I knew was to print("Hello World") in python.

Thankfully, the fuinjutsu books have detailed explanations about the programming. One of the major problem it has though, is the language it uses. Kanji. Sure, it makes things very short, but no normal person can master Kanji. And to such an extent where messing up a single stroke causes numerous changes.

And that's where Sanskrit comes in. It is probably the most consistent language out there, and creating new words is no big deal. Though I still use English here and there as well.

But I can't really start writing in a new language out of nowhere, can I? So I have spent the three years 'inventing' a fuinjutsu language. Though the people that keep an eye on us probably don't know about it more than the alphabet, because I go inside the tent I have in my home, and place flashbangs so that even a Hyuga can't see.

And play loud music on the TV so that they can't distinguish what I write through my hand movements. I remember Dosu, a genin, was that much capable.

And I add another layer of Secure Barrier that I activate by licking its switch.

Yeah. Licking works to activate the seals, that are already powered with Naruto's chakra. Though, large amounts of chakra can't be stored, and even the amount that can be stored doesn't last long.

Sigh... I will try to somehow make a chakra battery. Well, maybe find someone who can make a chakra battery. I don't know a thing about chakra physics.

Anyway, my money matters have been going well. A publisher contacted me for both Shin-chan and The Snake's Nest. And because of them being popular enough before getting a publisher, I managed to get 70% commission for each copy, and the right to write my way.

Kishimoto probably suffered from Shounen Jump editors. There is no way he would have ended the series after war arc, introduced Kaguya, and write that trash epilogue which was all just a setup for Burrito. He would have atleast shown Naruto becoming the Hokage in his own manga.

Well, I don't plan to be a full time mangaka though. I have already established myself as a legendary mangaka who brought the Shiori art style in this industry. Before me, the little mangas were more like American comics with trashy long dialogues, bad realistic art, and all that, though still going from right to left.

My next step is to create an exclusive mall in Konoha with exclusive shops like Starbucks, some clothing brands and stores, and all that have too high profit margin. Until I am an adult, meaning until I have graduated from the ninja academy, I can't really enter any major business and own big land outside of Konoha, even in the Land of Fire.

So, no trains for now. And no controlling anything major basic thing, like water and stuff.

So until I am in the academy, I will focus on opening my mall, and trying to establish an anime studio. Animation has been around from 1920s or something in the real world, and the technology is definitely better than that here, since we have color cameras and color projectors already. I was surprised that the movies don't come in black and white, but quality good enough to compete with the 80s-90s.

And when I graduate, I will take all of Gato's money and take indirect control over the Land of Waves. It's geopolitical position is perfect for me to make money and get some bodyguards.

It is too far from every other major contry, except Land of Fire, Water, and the ruins of Whirlpools.

Well, those things are for later. For now, it's time for academy. And I would like to make some friends who will even give up their lives to save me.

"DON'T GIVE UP! BURN YOUR FLAMES OF YOUTH!"

Guy-sensei's shout snapped me out of my thoughts, and I barely dodged a kick coming at me.

"Eeek!"

I shrieked and hid behind Naruto, who wasn't looking that tired.

"I don't wanna train anymore!"

Naruto patted my head, and smiled at me.

"Then don't. I will always protect you."

"Oh Naruto~"

"Shiori-chan~"

I hugged my sweet little Naruto. And he hugged me back.

"Oh the flames of YOUTH!"

Guy-sensei started flooding the training ground with his tears, looking proud for us.

Weirdo.

But our weirdo.
