Chapter 163: Grigori Darkwater

The Silver Lantern pub got its name from the literal myriad of lanterns that lit the pub at night. During the day, however, the drinking establishment mostly depended on the sun's light for illumination.

Walking into the pub, patrons were welcomed into a fairly sizeable room. Rough-hewn wooden tables and mismatched chairs filled the space, surrounded by walls adorned with aged tapestries and bland paintings.

The bar itself, however, was a true work of art. It was a sturdy old oak structure, polished by years of use, and behind it, a grizzled old bartender deftly mixed potions and poured beers into worn tankards.

At this moment in time, the pub was barely populated, the only occupants excluding the bartender himself being two lone midday drinkers, and one particularly good-looking young couple seated in the far corner.
