Chapter 150: Eject!

Hade's eyes widened in terror as the fragments of the illusion dispersed, revealing the true nature of his reality.

The dark blue sea turned into an abyss of blackness, its still surface replaced by long, winding shadows.

The once serene blue sky vanished entirely, its stars that once twinkled above no more, leaving nothing but an all-encompassing void that seemed to stretch indefinitely.

Hade stood in the midst of this boundless expanse, his heart beating nervously in his chest.

'This… is my soul domain,' He thought to himself as he surveyed his new surroundings.

'The real one, at least.'

Unlike with that last phantasm, here, Hade felt strangely… at home, and the feeling wasn't so much supposition as it was intuitive, perhaps even spiritual.

In this new place, Hade felt affiliated, connected…

Tethered even. And quite literally, too.
