Half an hour later…
Hade sat on the floor with his back pressed against the wall. He had tried lying on the bed, but that same fluffy mattress that had provided him comfort only an hour ago, now felt as if he were floating on a sea of thorns.
Luck was also nowhere in sight. Hade had sent him back to the dimensional pocket inside the purple ring because he needed time, time to himself... time to think about what he had just learned.
To be honest, it all sounded like fictional gibberish.
Soul domains, red moons, and sentient black tendrils… All of it sounded like just the kind of bullsh*t that parents liked to fabricate to scare their naughty kids into being good.
And yet... due to the bonds that tied them together, and Luck's resultant inability to lie to him, Hade knew that the nightmarish tale of sorts he had just heard was all true, every gobsmacking bit of it.
