It would be a lie if Naomi said that she was not a little bit surprised by Hade's question. After all, this was the first time he was asking for her opinion on something.
As for why he wanted to know about barriers, she did not pry. That was his business.
Nevertheless, Naomi did wonder whether she should tell him what she knew or keep her mouth shut.
While their respective families weren't enemies, they were not necessarily close allies either. By helping him, there was no guarantee that she was not assisting a future enemy.
"I don't know much," she paused, just long enough to spot the unmistakable flash of disappointment in his eyes.
"However," she continued, choosing to take a gamble.
"I also don't know too little about the topic to be considered unknowledgeable. So what do you want to know?"
"Everything," Hade replied promptly.
Once again, Naomi was taken aback by the uncharacteristic enthusiasm.
"Fine," she sighed.
