Chapter 46: 46. New Team
As he had just broken through, he was still extremely refreshed and decided to cultivate again.
After running the Ghost River Cultivation Art, the cold prickling sensation that had disappeared during his breakthrough returned in full fashion. But after dealing with it for a week now Fang Yang had gotten used to it to the point that he didn't need to grimace horribly while he cultivated.
The progress he made was extremely slow, possibly even slower than before, and the amount of Qi that escaped from his meridians was still the same as before. But even with all this, Fang Yang wasn't discouraged.
With the breakthrough, he was already satisfied and continued cultivating long into the night until he was completely exhausted. At that point, Fang Yang decided to call it for the day and went to bed with a satisfied smile on his face.

By the time the next day arrived, Fang Yang woke up extremely satisfied.
He quickly freshened up and prepared to head out for the day.
He thought about it a bit more the previous day and eventually agreed to meet up with Gu Wen and his team and go exploring the mines with the two 9th level Qi cultivators.
Although he had enough spirit stones to pay off his debt there was still another week until the transport boat would be returning to the sect.
In that time, instead of sitting on his ass. it would be a much better use of time to go earn as much money as possible.
But since he already earned enough for his debt, Fang Yang didn't want to go exploring by himself, which was much riskier.
Although it would definitely pay much less right now, it didn't matter.
After seeing that strange blood pool, Fang Yang found it too unsettling. His priority right now would be safety, not earning money.
Walking out of his residence, Fang Yang quickly arrived at the entrance to the mine where many other teams had gathered, all preparing to enter the mines.
After looking around the mine entrance for a short while, Fang Yang finally managed to spot Gu Wen, and he wasn't alone.
Beside him, Fang Yang could make out four other people.
One was a middle aged man with a strangely evil appearance. He had sharp eyes and continually furrowed brows. He looks like the kind of guy that you would see play the standard typical villain in a tv show. To add to his strange appearance, there was a large, eerie looking coffin on his back.
But despite his appearance, he was radiating the powerful coercion of a 9th Level Qi cultivator.
Besides him was the other 9th Level Qi cultivator.
An average-looking lady with an almost sickly pale face and long black hair that stretched down to her thighs. If you asked Fang Yang, she looked like more of a ghost than anything Fang Yang had ever seen back at the sect.
Besides them were the two 6th Level Qi cultivators. A beefy man with both arms wrapped in bandages and another regular looking dude. Apart from the sword thar at his waist, there was nothing too flashy.
Walking over, Fang Yang nodded to Gu Wen, who was excited to meet him.
And just like how Fang Yang was inspecting his teammates, they were also inspecting him.
Walking over with a smile on his face, Gu Wen asked,
"Since you've come here today, I'd take it that your answer is that you would like to team up with us?"
"That is correct." Replied Fang Yang with an equally polite smile.
"That's great." Said Gu Wen with some excitement in his voice.
Seeing that Fang Yang was truly on board, he didn't spend more time talking at a distance and quickly brought him to meet the team.
But as Fang Yang had been observing everyone else, they had also been observing him. And when they saw that Gu Wen brought Fang Yang over, a frown collectively appeared on the face of everyone present.
Finally, the villain looking man couldn't take it anymore and finally spoke.
"Gu Wen, is this some sort of a joke to you? You make us wait for all this time just to bring us a kid that's only in the 3rd level of Qi refinement!"
Hearing the man's words, Gu Wen didn't get offended and only chuckled.
"Shi Rong, you're always so quick to come and judge without seeing the full picture. Although he's only in the 3rd level of Qi refinement, this kid was born with an especially strong soul and controls a powerful mid-stage corpse puppet."
As soon as the group heard this, the expression on their faces completely changed.
Especially Shi Rong. The contempt in his eyes completely disappeared and was even replaced with a hint of admiration.
Although he wasn't a core part of the Shi Family, he was still part of a family that taught Corpse Control as their main technique so he knew more than most. He knew the sheer ridiculousness needed to accomplish what Fang Yang did, so it was impossible for him to not feel a bit of admiration.
As for the others, although they don't know the ridiculousness of his achievement, they still acknowledged his strength.
Strength was the most basic detriment factor in this world. If your strength reached their level then not many more words need to be said.
Seeing That Fang Yang had been calmly accepted into the team, Gu Wen began to introduce everyone in the team and their strengths.
The villain looking man was called Shi Rong and was 9th level Qi cultivator of the Shi family. As you would expect for someone from the Shi family, he specialised in corpse puppet control.
The other 9th level Qi cultivator was called Ren Lan. She was a cultivator that specialised in ghost control.
The beefy 6th level Qi cultivator was called Jin Erlang. He was a cultivator of the corpse-body transformation peak and was basically a body refinement cultivator.
