Chapter 50: Mayor's Announcement

People gathered throughout the town around roads and any open place where the speakers could be heard clearly. 

As the sun peaked through the top of the cliff and sunlight fell into the land, 10 am came closer and closer.

It was about time for the mayor's speech.

Quite a few Defenders were working near the veil, but even they were curious and ready to hear what the mayor had to say this time around.

Stanley, his brother, and many of the Defenders stood around the Defenders' training ground where their speaker was attached to. There was a small commotion going around as the defenders wondered exactly what it was about.

Then, after a small burst of static, the Mayor's voice came through the speakers.

"Good morning everyone, I hope your day is full of luck," the Mayor's old voice came through the speaker. "This is my first time addressing you as a whole since the tragedy 3 months ago."
