Chapter 220: Cold food

"Daven is not here, my love. It's me, Gabriel." He tried to contain his irritation. He knew that he had made a great mistake allowing Eliza to set her eyes on Dav before the ritual could begin to do its work. But it was too late for any regret. 

Eliza day upright the instant she heard those words from Gabriel. Yes, she could still remember setting her eyes on Dav even if they were a far distance away from each other.

At that moment she began to question if Dav ever cared for her. She saw him standing at a distance while staring at her and Gabriel. That was his opportunity to take her away, or even show her that he still wanted her but it all ended in disappointment.

He let Gabriel take her without making a move. It was at that instant she realized that Dav was the danger Gabriel had talked about.

"But tell me. That… that person that I saw in the desert, was it my husband?" She asked, only for Gabriel to gnash his teeth in annoyance.
