The space where James was transported was the sky of MEDIEVAL FANTASY and under James' feet, it was possible to see the entire universe of MEDIEVAL FANTASY, to have a better idea it was how to see the earth from space, but slightly sharper and without the clouds.
This was one of the most beautiful views that MEDIEVAL FANTASY offered its players, unfortunately, such a view could only be enjoyed when the player was creating his character, most players only enjoyed this view once, but if anyone wants can enjoy it every six months, just need to delete his account and create a new one, the only problem in that are they will lose all their account progress and it is impossible to restore an account after it has been deleted.
Not even enjoying the view for a brief moment James quickly turned to the woman beside him and spoke in an irritated and slightly terrified tone.
"I didn't want to choose to be a Dungeon Master. What can I do to change my choice?"
The woman replied to James with a smile on her face "Unfortunately, it is impossible to change a species once chosen, I gave you the warning to prevent that from happening."
"Is there anything I can do to change my choice?"
"Once again, I say that it is impossible to change a choice once made."
'Right, I can speak directly to the company' Without wasting any more time James tries to leave the game. "Log out".
[…]
[Impossible to log out at the moment, please finish the task you are doing or it will be lost.]
[…]
[Verifying that the user has programmed a log-out time.]
[…]
[Verification completed the user did not schedule a log-out time.]
[…]
[Verified that the task you are doing is a one-time task that cannot be canceled, please finish the task to be able to log out]
To leave the world of MEDIEVAL FANTASY it was enough to say the words, "Log out". But you could only leave under certain conditions such as being in a safe area, having scheduled a log-out time, using protection items, having game time exceeded, and a few more conditions.
A log-out time was when a person programmed the game pod to notify when it was a certain time, so the user could log out without hassle, of course, this had associated cons, like if they were in the middle of a mission, challenge or whatever repeatable thing regardless of the progress where they were it would restart the next time they entered the game, among other associated stuff.
"No, this cannot be, first I get the worst species in the game and then I can't even leave this game. This was supposed to be a great day, not bullshit like it's been!" James said aloud with tears threatening to well up in his eyes.
The beautiful woman gave James some time to calm down before she spoke again. "As you can see, user SHADOW, below us is the world of MEDIEVAL FANTASY. As you chose to be a Dungeon Master you have three options now: The first one is to choose how you intend to be and from there choose an environment that matches your being. The second is exactly the opposite of the first choice. First, choose the environment where you want to live and then choose a being that adapts to the environment. The third and last choice is a mix of the first two where you choose the being and the environment at the same time limited, both simultaneously.
Each choice has its advantages and disadvantages, so please choose carefully. To choose just say the number of the choice you want out loud, be careful once chosen it is impossible to go back on the selected choice."
Calming down a bit, James began to use his brain a bit. 'To be able to exit the game I have two possibilities, the first possibility is to make the choices and as soon as I can log out I contact customer support, the second possibility I have is to wait for the game time to reach the maximum and forced to log out, which will take a long time considering that my pod has the capacity for me to stay inside it for between ten to fifteen days depending on my brain activity and what I am doing must be the fifteen days, in addition to the possibility that the choices will be made automatically if I choose this last method.
Ok, so let's go with the first possibility I have to follow the course of the game and log out as soon as possible. As for the options given by the game, let's see, the second is directly set aside, after all, the most important thing for a Dungeon Master is to choose a good geographic location, as for the first and third options, both have their pros and cons, well let's go with the third, after all, I can choose not only the environment but also part of my being.'
With renewed confidence and without wasting any more time James said his decision loud and clear. "I choose the third choice."
"Third choice successfully chosen. Please, user SHADOW, choose the place where you intend to live and how you intend your being to be, among the options that are in front of you." When the woman finished saying the last few words an interactive blue screen appeared in front of James.
The screen was divided into two sections, one being the being and the other being the environment. The screen was quite simple to handle, James just had to select what he wanted and he didn't want, and the options in the other section disappeared.
The Dungeon Masters were the final bosses of their dungeons, so they could be any species they wanted, of course, this species would become a subspecies and not the main species and if a Dungeon Master managed to evolve into a variant species or a hybrid, that evolution becomes their subspecies. Additionally, the subspecies a Dungeon Master chooses will directly affect the monsters they can summon to defend their dungeon. The same for the environment where they intend to have their dungeon, after all, it is almost impossible for an ice creature to live in the desert or the opposite.
James began to make his choices whit carefully in case he had to be stuck as a Dungeon Master for six months.
