Chapter 25 Like A Beggar?
"I'm not interested in Miss Aimee at all. I want to do my best work. There isn't anything I can be proud of to be in a relationship with any woman." Aaron Liu tried to explain his current situation and position.
Hoping that Jiang Lily wouldn't continue to corner him, let alone hate him. Working with someone who didn't want to respect him was challenging.
Jiang Lily smiled meaningfully. Don't know what she was thinking. Between hate and care, both seemed vague to Aaron Liu.
"Have you chosen some models yet?" asked Jiang Lily in a flat tone. That woman was already like a cold and arrogant leader.
"There are some that seem very suitable for summer fashion." Aaron Liu showed some pictures of the models he had chosen. He hoped that she would accept his proposal this time.
"Sit down first! I'm going to check out your models." Jiang Lily ordered in an ominous tone. She acted like a cruel and terrifying boss.
Unable to resist, Aaron Liu sat in a chair near her desk. He had to obey all orders and directions from Mrs. Jiang's granddaugter.
Although Aaron Liu didn't particularly like Jiang Lily's attitude, he had to restrain himself. Mrs. Jiang had been so kind and treated him so special. There was no way he could go against his superior's unpleasant attitude.
The man had to show a good attitude and behaviour. Aaron Liu was sure that the slightest mistake he made would be fatal. He didn't want to make their relationship worse.
"Okay! I agree with your choice of models. I think your taste is pretty decent too, Aaron." That wasn't a compliment Jiang Lily was throwing at her assistant. Instead, it was a jab at the choices of a poor man who managed to catch her grandmother's attention.
"It's good that Miss agrees with me. I'll see production immediately to prepare all summer clothes before the photo shoot." Aaron Liu seemed eager to meet the other staff. At least he was valuable enough to be by Jiang Lily's side.
Jiang Lily gave him a genuine smile as soon as he left the room. She didn't expect that Aaron Liu would be so eager to work under her direction. Come to think of it, and the man could work very well. It made him quite happy with the existence of a handsome man of his grandmother's choice.
It had been a short time since Aaron Liu left the room. A design staff came to see Jiang Lily. The woman from the design team had something important to say.
"Good afternoon, Miss Jiang. I want to inform you that the special-order wedding dress has been modified. Mrs Jiang asked you to deliver it in person to this address." The woman gave an address to her boss. She hoped that no drama or trouble would complicate things.
"Why must I deliver it in person? Can't we use a courier?" Jiang Lily felt that her grandmother's request was strange and excessive. She needed to understand the purpose of Mrs. Jiang asking her to deliver the wedding dress.
"It seems Miss doesn't know that the bride-to-be is our client. Even Mrs Jiang herself designed the wedding dress." The woman tried to explain the situation to her boss.
Jiang Lily looked a little confused. She didn't understand why her grandmother had to ask her to deliver in person. There was a lot of staff in the company, why should it be her?
Only Mrs. Jiang could explain that reason. Jiang Lily had no choice but to go to an address to deliver the wedding dress.
"Does it have to be today?" asked Jiang Lily, lacklustre.
"The wedding is tomorrow morning, Miss. It should be at the address by this afternoon at the latest," the woman replied.
"Get Aaron over here! I can't possibly go to this address alone." Jiang Lily felt she needed Aaron Liu this time. She couldn't go alone to an address she hadn't been to.
The design staff immediately went out to call Aaron Liu. She hoped her boss would not be angry at her grandmother's order this time. She could see that Jiang Lily was shocked when she heard his words.
When she told him about it, Aaron Liu rushed back to see his boss. He was in a hurry to keep Jiang Lily from waiting too long.
"How can I help you, Miss?" asked Aaron Liu once he reached his boss's office.
"Take me to this address." Jiang Lily gave an excuse that one of the staff had given her earlier. "Do you know that address? I've never even passed by that address," she said, lacklustre.
"I'm very familiar with this area, Miss." Aaron Liu saw that the address was not far from his family home. Of course, he was very familiar with the streets along that address.
However, Aaron Liu did not know the house's residents at all. For a long time, the place looked empty and uninhabited. After all these years, he would only see the house's owner now.
The two of them went straight to the address. Aaron Liu was also very curious about the residents near his house.
Before long, the two of them had arrived at the high-fenced mansion. Upon knowing that the two of them came with a wedding dress, a guard immediately told him to enter.
Before they could leave, Jiang Lily's cell phone fell into the car. She tried to grab it before catching up with Aaron Liu.
"Just get in first! I'll get my phone first," Jiang Lily exclaimed from inside the car.
Aaron Liu decided to go in first. He looked around and noticed the magnificent building before him. Although not as luxurious as his old house, it was elegant and expensive.
A servant saw Aaron's arrival and immediately asked him to come in.
"Please come in, Sir. Miss has been waiting for you," the servant said very politely.
Aaron Liu walked straight into the house carrying a luxurious box containing a wedding dress. Having just entered the living room, the man had already received an unpleasant welcome.
"Maid! Why are you letting a beggar in?" A woman shouted.
Immediately, Aaron Liu's face paled. He couldn't believe he was about to meet the woman he had just met.
