Chapter 323: Clash of minds and soul [End]

A silver bullet tore the air as it sped toward Derek. The shot was well-timed and perfect. The shooter must have done lots of calculations before making such a perfect shot.

Derek's head turned with an astonishing speed, but his soul power wasn't strong enough to stop a moving bullet and the sniper caught him in a bad spot.

Blood spilled, mixing with the rain, and Derek let the rider go and took five steps back. He clenched his teeth with so much force that his gums might bleed.

The bullet created a hole in his arm. The same arm that held the rider. 'She's not alone,' he said inwardly and ignored the healing wound to search for the location of the sniper.

The tall uncompleted buildings that filled the sides of the wide road were completely encased in darkness, as there were no street lamps.
