Adrian could hear his father's voice all the way from his study room, he was on the phone with someone and was literally firing thunder and brimstone, at whoever it was that made him angry.
He felt bad for whoever that was on the line, how could they dare to make Alex Singh angry this early morning?
The only time his father has been this much annoyed, was when Polina has showed her defiance about marrying Blake White.
Luckily for the motherfucker, he's married to some french princess when things didn't work out well, with the marriage proposition with Polina, and he was one happy fellow, that he didn't marry his girl either.
Adrian took a puff of his cigarette, a lazy sigh escaping his lips this early morning. He had a stubborn headache that had decided to torment his life, ever since Polina's memorial.
He has been restless, and the fact that he couldn't sleep like a normal human being added to his frustration. Man! He needed a break.
Maybe just for a while, but his father would have his head if he decides to stall even if it's for one bit, of what he had instructed him to do.
Vanessa Ivanov.
That's the new project, and from how serious his father had taken this revenge plan to, he figured out that he won't mind hurting him if he does go against his wishes.
After all, it won't be surprising if he does that. He abandoned his first son, who might still be alive but it's hiding right under his nose.
He didn't made it any of his concern, especially when his father wasn't making any move, like changing his mind about his legitimate first son, but it wasn't the same with him.
He has thought that the man would actually go ahead to look for him, since Polina is dead. But rather, he has surprised him more by keeping to his end of his deal, which was not looking for Nelson Singh, his son.
But for the slightest fact that he might change his mind one day, didn't settle quite well with Adrian, which was why he had his men on the job to find him.
Although it always came to a tight end, but for the years he left with no traces gave him the initiative that he was long dead, and his father was a heartless bastard who doesn't intend on finding him.
But Adrian knew different, this was Alex Singh that he's dealing with, a coy fellow that would happily sacrifice the happiness of his family members, when it comes to sacrificing anything for his reputation.
His fist was tightened more in anger, when he heard the breaking of glass against the floor. Now! Someone is really pissed off.
It won't be long before he puts a bullet between the eyes, of any unlucky fellow that might be the sacrificial lamb that his aggression would he transferred to.
He was not in any mood of having his men take care of any dead body, it was still early and the stress was what he didn't want.
So, as he turned to leave, his door swung open and Mason, one of his trusted men, best friend, walked in holding a file in his hands.
"He really looked pissed off, someone is clearly dying soon." The fellow alerted him, it was more like a caution for him to get his ass down there, and calm his father down before he rains hell on someone soon.
Adrian rolled his eyes at his comment, he didn't like the way he was some sort of drug ,or remedy for his crazy father.
Although, he's glad that he was someone significant in his life that he can't deal without. Right now, he was the last standing Singh that would inherit every single thing he owns, once he's gone.
That alone was what kept him going, the reward out of all these stress. He took the papers from Mason's hands, and tugged it open taking the file that contained Vanessa's biography.
"I don't really understand what's this is all about bro. But don't you think it's too early for a bloodshed?" Mason asked, scratching his beards while all he got was a scrutinizing look from Adrian, who didn't understand what he was trying to say.
"The election is right around the corner bro, you wouldn't want the boss to ignite a war that wouldn't be beneficial for his political career right now, that's all I'm trying to say." Mason added, which made Adrian drop his cigarette back on the ashtray.
"Father know what he's doing, and when have i being able to change his mind when it's all made up?"
Adrian pointed out, he wasn't glad about the project too because of the upcoming elections. Yeah, his father was running for the president of Country A.
He was thriving for total dominance against all states, and people living with in it. As absurd as it sounds, he's still a very big competitor with Jason Ivanov, who was in the same political struggle with him.
He had come to understand the fact, that the two families were sworn enemies in their past life. The hate runs deep, that not even a mere apology can make the pains they both had caused each other go away.
It's just like it has always been, only death would solve everything. Jason Ivanov would have to go down eventually, so he doesn't mind using his pretty daughter to do that.
He couldn't wait to see the look on his face, once he takes his daughter right infront of him. He would break her, just like her dad broke his heart by what he did to Polina.
Judging from the profile, she's nothing but a spoiled daddy's girl, who has nothing about her father, being involved in dirty business that would get them killed soon.
"Adrian, she's innocent." Mason managed to ruin his mood by this statement, which made him grab him by his collar in anger.
"Polina was innocent too, and she's the daughter of an enemy! She's meant to die anyway, so why the change of mind huh?"Adrian shouted.
"Man calm down.."
"Do you have a thing with her, is she your whore?" He roared, tugging Mason's hair as he got really scared at his outburst.
Adrian's eyes was a shade darker, than the normal grey eyes, and he could see his veins threatening to pop out of his temple in anger.
"No, she's not okay, calm down Adrian. You are losing control!" Mason pushed his hands off him, before fixing his clothes while Adrian bent slightly against the table in his room.
"When was the last time you slept?" Mason asked concernedly.
"What are you now..my mom?" Adrian rolled his eyes at him, going for his drawer to take out his drug.
"I'm just worried about you man, no shit Sherlock!" Mason raised his voice in anger, his control is slipping every single day that passes, and it's because of dead Polina.
"Well you can get the hell out of here, and close the door after you." Adrian said, taking the drugs before drowning it down with a drink.
A drink!
Mason was fast in snatching it away from his grip, and threw it against the floor. " Are you crazy Adrian, do you have a death wish?" He grabbed him by his collar, while Adrian threw his head back smiling smugishly.
"If that would get me to see her one more time, then i would gladly.." Adrian trailed on, but was cut short by the swift opening of his room door, and the uncalled visit of his dad, with his annoying lapdog Cain, who will be dying by his hands soon.
"What's going on here?" Alex shouted, looking straight at his son, who has his collar fisted by Mason, with an eye piercing gaze.
Adrian growled loudly, knowing real well that he just got himself into a dire situation. He was the scapegoat that his dad would take his aggression out upon.
But at this point of time, he doesn't mind. He actually needed someone to hurt him, before he hurts himself badly.
Because it's hard to know what living felt like, he doesn't know what being a human feels like since she died.
"Gun me down, father."
