"Why do you have that look?" Nicklaus passed her a side glance before turning back to the road. 

After the kiss, he had been watching her emotions even while driving, and her countenance changes each second. 

Arissa relaxed in her seat, "I'm tired," she answered truthfully, "What were you saying concerning Mr. Adams?" she turned to him with expectations. 

He haven't called her since that auction and that was the same period Nicklaus warned her about him but still, she had tried to call him. Her calls kept on going over to his voice note and she left countless messages there which have been unanswered to date. It was surprising and even if he wasn't able to get in touch with the Knewman couples, he would have at least let her know while they look for other means possible than to keep her waiting in the dark.
